MUSIC SELECTIONS
Introductory Rites
The Introductory Rites of the wedding liturgy begin with the procession. The procession usually begins with the cross, followed by the ministers, wedding party, and the bride. The bride and groom may also decide to process together, in which case only one processional piece is necessary.

Glory to God,
a hymn of praise and thanksgiving.

Liturgy of the Word
The Liturgy of the Word consists of readings from Sacred Scripture. You may select your readings from your planning book and list the selections on your Google Doc. The sung portions of the Liturgy of the Word are the Responsorial Psalm and Gospel Acclamation. The Responsorial Psalm is a proclamation of scripture, so you are encouraged to read through the entire text of the psalm in your planning book when making a selection. The Gospel Acclamation accompanies the priest's procession before proclaiming the Gospel.
